  1. Why do teeth turn yellow or darker?

Teeth have natural pores in the enamel. The surface looks like a sponge. Whenever foods such as wine, coffee, nicotine, tea, soda, berries, etc. are eaten, the food or beverage stains the tooth. These stains eventually make the natural tooth color darker, and they will not go away intervention.

The method uses active ingredients that open up pores in the teeth and lift stains. The pores temporarily open, giving us time to whiten them. After whitening, the teeth naturally remineralize.

  1. Do teeth become sensitive from whitening?

A typical response to teeth whitening means some tooth sensitivity.

More than ½ of Americans have naturally sensitive teeth. While undergoing the whitening process, the teeth become temporarily dehydrated. This dehydration causes a decreased ability to insulate the tooth’s nerve from temperature changes. Sensitivity usually subsides within 18-36 hours.

  1. How fast can you whiten my teeth? (They have no pores.)

These stains take years to accumulate, and to penetrate with the whitening agent safely will take five days to 6 weeks. It’s a slow process to remove years or even decades of stains. Once completed, it’s easy to maintain.

  1. Does UV light work?

UV Light light can accelerate the whitening gel to speed up the process.  It is FDA regulated, so only a licensed dentist can supervise. And the worst thing is that it needs repeating. This increase in speed can come at a cost. The sensitivity of the teeth that can last weeks.

  1. How much do trays and whitening gels cost?

The cost of creating a custom fit trays for patients is low.
